our story
Over her 20 years in the industry Kerri has developed a love of her work, bringing a personal, transparent and meaningful approach to funeral care.
Kerri first entered the funeral industry as the celebrant for her sister-in-law, Trish, when she sadly died of cancer in her 40s. That beautiful and moving experience changed Kerri’s professional direction, leading to further celebrant roles for family and friends, as well as opportunities to organise memorials. She trained as a funeral director with Picaluna in 2017 and has worked alongside them ever since.
Having lived in Sydney’s Inner West for over 40 years, Kerri’s active involvement in the community gave her a deep understanding of local families and their needs.
This strong local connection inspired her to create Inner West Funerals, offering families a more thoughtful way to plan a farewell—one shaped by story, community, care and choice.
